French citizen studying in the UK... US partner

Hi everyone,

I am a French citizen and I recently have been admitted to a 1 year program at a British university.

What can I do do be able to have my boyfriend (a US citizen) come with me and be able to work in the UK?

I was thinking a French PACS (civil Union type agreement) might entitle him to a work permit of some sort?

EEA Family Permit, but u'll need ti be married or have a 'durable relationship' which in UK means two years proof of cohabitation.

Is he living in EU with you?

How long have you been living together? If you are not married, then a lot depends on how "substantial" the relationship is.
