Advice on entry to eu with third country family member

HI,
This is where i am gonna need real advice from amazing members of this forum.
Here is the scenario, if an eu citizen with non eu spouce with thier daughter arrive at land border of bulgaria or greek and ask for entry, will they get it straight away? What kind of situation we can expect at border, what possibilities of inconvenience are there?

And another question is that can previous refusal will make it difficult to get visa at border? It seems now they have vis sis so probably border post will know about previous refusals

Bulgaria is not part of the schengen area. Greek is better if you want to move to a other schengen country from there.
At the border the family members simply have to prove that they are qualified family members of a eu citizen and accompany or join.
