Tier 2 visa refused for incorrect salary

Post by Sheaod » Thu Nov 30, 2017 9:29 am

Hi all,

Hoping someone can give me a bit of advice! Yesterday (29/11/17) I found out my tier 2 visa application was refused due to incorrect salary for the SOC code given. I was absolutely shocked and thought I had read and understood everything perfectly. I believe there was just some confusion when my employer filled out the certificate of sponsorship.

They are willing to amend my salary and/or job code and assign a new CoS but I still have loads of questions!

-How long do I have to wait to make a new application? (I'm switching from a tier 4 and my current visa is up on 30th Jan 2018)

-I think my company will need to apply for more CoS as we only said we needed 1 in the first place. How long does this take?

-Will my current rejection have any impact on the new application?

Any and all advice is appreciated! Thank you!!

Are you saying they'll increase the salary based on the SOC code?

Once COS is assigned you can apply.
-I think my company will need to apply for more CoS as we only said we needed 1 in the first place. How long does this take?
If they don't have aany COS then they'll need to request one. It can take sometime. I am not sure the timeline.
-Will my current rejection have any impact on the new application?
It depends. If your employer increase the pay for the sake of getting Tier2 then it will definately raise the alarm. Make sure they don't change the details significantly

Any and all advice is appreciated! Thank you!!
