T1E ILR qualifying question

Post by Andys » Thu Nov 30, 2017 11:13 am

Hi All,
Does time on Student visa count towards ILR.

I entered on 04/10/10 on Student Visa which was valid till 30/01/2012.
I moved to PSW from 17/04/12 till 16/04/14
Tier 1 Ent granted from 29/04/14 till 28/04/17
I have applied for Extn in April but haven't had a decision yet.

Would I be eligible for ILR In Sep' 18?
Would the time between Student visa expiry and PSW issue date be counted towards ILR?

Thanks in advance.

You cannot combine other visa categories for T1E 5 year ILR. So, the answer is no. You will be eligible for ILR only on 28/4/19 assuming your extension is approved.
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.
