Hi everyone!
Recently, I have received a letter from U.K. Home Office which states that my application for British Citizenship has been successful (Yahoooooo!!!! ).
The letter also says that I should receive an invitation letter within the next 3 weeks & I should not contact to the Local Authority (Council) before. In my case, my Local Authority is Haringey Council whose staff is extremely rude & ill-mannered but that’s a topic of another debate. I have spoken with a staff member of Haringey Council if they have received my Citienship Certificate or not but they have advised me to wait until because they don’t have my Citizenship Certificate at the moment. And once I will receive my invitation letter then I can book my ceremony date online on their website.
My questions are as under:-
1). Who will send me the invitation letter? i.e. Local Authority (Council) and or the Home Office.
2) How long on average does it take to receive the invitation letter? And what sort of content will it have other than the holder’s details etc? i.e. Will it include the ceremony date as well?
3) God forbid, what to do if the invitation letter is delayed?
I am sorry if these questions have been answered before on this forum.
Thanks in advance.
Best,
Khan
