Tier 2 Gen to ILR Holidays and extra income

Post by aja » Mon Dec 04, 2017 9:50 am

Dear Board members.

I was on a Tier 2 ICT Depedent visa untill June 2014
Got a Tier 2 General from July 2014 from Company A.
Worked with Company A till Oct 2015 and switched in country to Company B.
Currently sponsored by and working for company B.

During my tenure with company A, i never traveled outside of UK. i Have taken Annual leaves , but were all spent inside UK.

q) Will i need a letter from my previous employer (company A) stating my leave history while working for them ? When applying for ILR ?

q) Last 2 years i am living in a house i bought with mortgage, now i need to move to a different place and i am thinking for renting out my house.
Will this rental income have any issues while applying for ilr ?

Thank you
AJA

No. You need letter only if you have traveled outside of the UK

No.It will not have any impact at all. There is no maintenance requirement for ILR.

Many Thanks for your response.

With respect to the below:
No.It will not have any impact at all. There is no maintenance requirement for ILR.
I guess, i haven't framed my question correctly.
- My question is not about the maintenance, its more about having additional income through rent.
As i understand that, Tier 2 holders are allowed to work only for their sponsors or additional work for same
SOC.
- I will still be working for my sponsor and that will be my main source of income.
- The rent i would receive in addition , will that be treated as additional work or anything of that sort was my question.

Thanks again.

Yes, since you'll have to pay TAX on the income I'd say stay away from renting for now until you're granted ILR
