Employment requirements after extension

Post by annoyedatukba » Mon Dec 04, 2017 10:41 pm

Dearest Gurus and Senior members,

I know this topic has been discussed before, but I am a little lost. I just read the guidance for T1 Entrepreneur settlement (ILR) and on page 59 point 3, second paragraph it says:

"The jobs must have existed for at least 12 months during your most recent grant of leave unless you entered the route before 6 April 2014"

My initial T1 Entrepreneur was granted in December 2013 to December 2016, extension was granted November 2017 to November 2019 - does this mean that this rule doesn't apply to me or did I misunderstand??

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi

Do you mean, as you initially entered the route pre-April 2014, now you may still benefit from those pre April 2014 job creation rules?

Also, congratulations on your success with extension application

You ENTERED the route in Dec 2013, so you are covered under transitional arrangements. That line simply means you can for example hire 4 people for 6 months and therefore do not need to create a position that lasts for 12 months.

@zimba88 thank you for clearing that up - and here I thought I had caught a break of sorts. Oh well.
