Brexit Capitulation, bye bye to hard Brexit.

Post by Obie » Fri Dec 08, 2017 4:35 pm

As expected, the UK has finally capitulated to the EU. The EU has finally taken control of Brexit.

For the whole year we hear the Firebrand Extremist in the Tories part talk about no deal is better than a bad deal, that the EU can go whistle and no money will be paid, we hear them say the EU needs the UK more than the UK needs it, that we will not be leaving the EU only to be subjected to the EU Jurisdiction, that we will make our owns laws.

Today common sense prevail, UK has had a rude awakening, the UK needs the EU more than the EU needs the UK. That in the event of a no brexit deal, the UK will be in the custom union and the internal market in all but name, that the UK will have to adopt laws to which it has no say, that EU nationals will continue to bring in their family members and extended family member after Brexit, that their rights will be ring fenced by the EU.

So the question is, what was all this 16 months all about.

Here is the withdrawal agreement.

This is just a beginning of an end. EU will be better off without UK being in it & we will be left with reading comments on daily mail only.

You may have some point. Since Brexit, the EU economy has done very well, whiles the UKs economy has been quite sclerotic. It is arguable that it was the UK causing EU's problem, and its departure may assist the EU. Even Greece is beginning to get back on its 2 feet.

WIth all these progress, i will be surprised if these people may actually want the UK to reverse Brexit.
