Changing job position before applying for spouse visa

Post by ayreb002 » Fri Dec 08, 2017 4:40 pm

Hello all,

I am a British Citizen sponsoring my Peruvian wife's spousal visa. She has not yet applied but will do very soon.
My current salary is above the required minimum of £18,600.

My issue is that I have recently signed a contract to be promoted to another position in the same company (with a salary above the required minimum of £18,600.) starting in a month's time.

My question is, does the new position need to be declared in the spousal application before applying (even though I'm not in the new position yet) or not?

Thank you.

In my view, there's no harm in explaining it in the application.
It will not be classed as a major issue, since salary is above the stated minimum anyway and the job is within the same company as well.
Good luck!
