Marriage visa

Post by Rene245 » Sat Dec 09, 2017 11:44 am

I am from Italy and I am living in the UK for 2 years now. I would like to get married through the marriage visa and go to live in Italy. My fiancee is from Russian. We were thinking to apply for the marriage visa and so we can get married during the 6 months.
However, 5 months ago she applied for a 6 months tourist visa (standard) with multiple entries and she wrote on the application that she was married (this was honestly to help the application but also because she didn't have the certificate of divorce - and it was not needed because we didn't know each other at this time). She actually divorced 6 years ago but as she moved to another city, she didn't get the divorce certificate. Do you think that could be a reason for the marriage visa application to be refused?

They may refuse her a marriage visitor visa under 320(7B) for past deception.
