benefit related inquiry

Post by mayyur123 » Sat Dec 09, 2017 6:28 pm

hi, my name is khurram, my inquiry is that me and my family has 2 and half year leave to remain and we are allowed public funds and benefits, when we will send our application for extension before the expiry of current leave, and extension process can take 4 to 5 months some times, so are we allowed to claiming benefits while our extension application will be in process?
thanks for you time.

If you make an in time application, you will have valid leave even after the expiry of your current leave to remain while your pending application is decided.

This would also mean you would continue to be eligible to receive benefits until further notice.

This is my understanding of it.
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.
