Hello!
This is all very confusing timeline wise. Any help is VERY much appreciated!!
SO. I am currently on a Tier 2 general visa (sponsored). I need to switch sponsors/employers. I have my conditional offer from the new sponsor, they want to know what I want my start date to be so they can issue the CoS.
As I understand it, you cannot work for your current employer past the start date on your new CoS.
However, (its now Dec 10, 2017) so if I ask for a start date of Feb 1, 2018, but apply for my new visa Jan 2 (via the 10 day priority route) and get the new visa and BRP by Jan 14 or so, (because i have a trip planend for Jan 19-21 to Malta and will need my passport) can I still work for my current employer up until my new start date? Or once i get my new visa and BRP is my old visa void and I must stop working for the old employer?
Any clarification would be great!! Thank you!
