Newborn in UK - passport (citizenship) by EEA(PR) parent

Post by ariskar » Mon Dec 11, 2017 1:28 pm

Hello.

I am in the process of obtaining BC through naturalisation and also expecting a child in a similar timeframe to the 6 months (non-binding) processing time. I hold EEA(PR). In case I do not attend a citizenship ceremony by the time the child is born, do I have to send my EEA(PR) certificate to HMPO with the application to prove that (at least) one parent of the UK born child held settled status at the time of birth?

Who can sign as referee for a newborn?

Also, any experience on how long it will (generally) take if it is based on parent EEA(PR) vs BC?

Thanks in advance.
