Tier 2 Employer taken over by New Employer

Hello,

I work as a nurse in a Nursing home and have been in the UK since september 2013. I am currently holding a Tier 2 visa which will be expiring on February 2018. However, our company is going to be taken over by a new employer by the end of this month. I was planning to apply for an extension but because of the sudden take over I am now stuck. What happens to my current visa? Can anyone please help.
