Section 1.3. - on AN form

Post by redtree81 » Wed Dec 13, 2017 1:16 pm

Hi,

I have a dilemma on what date I should put under section 1.3.Date you were given indefinite leave to remain/ enter UK. I am EEA national so did not require such permit. I read the guidance but it is still not clear to me.
I am EU8 national and came to UK in August 2005. Registered under Worker's Registration Scheme in September 2005. I applied for permanent residence last year - although I have lived in UK for 11 years.

My question is - what is the date that I would have to put down under 1.3.

My partner came to UK in September 2007 and also registered under WRS, however his employment did not last 12 months. He did not re-apply for it - we didn't realise that he should have - but kept on working paying taxes etc. I understand that in April 2011, WRS was lifted. He too received his PR last year.

Any advice on how to determine what date to put under 1.3?

Any help would be appreciated.

No date required - this is for ILR under UK immigration rules - fill in the section for EEA nationals.

Hi,

Thank you. I called HO advice line and the lady said that I needed to put down a date that HO would have given me on their correspondence. However, all I got from them was when it was OK for me to apply for BC.

It does makes sense what you say as there is a section when you put a date when PR was granted.

I will use NCS anyway - do you know whether they would be able to advise on section1.3?

The advice on the board is that it's ok, with NCS and UKVI.
Haven't seen any report of issues due to date.

The date of issue of the PR card is not the same as the date you acquired PR status. The date you acquired PR status should have been mentioned in the letter that accompanied your PR card. If it wasn't, you can contact Home Office to find out what the date was.

For example, my PR card was issued in January 2017, but I acquired PR status in Sep 2016. I put the Sep 2017 date in section 1.3. I'm not a professional though :)
