Hi all!
I am a Russian citizen living in the UK with my French husband (we moved here 3 months ago).
I want to apply for a residence card for myself and I saw a 100 pages application form that I need to fill in and send to Home Office.
However, I noticed an online application form for EEA citizens for their Registration Certificate (QP). There it is written:
If you wish to make an application, you can also include your spouse, civil partner, children and other relatives if they are currently in the UK with you and are dependent on you, or part of your household, even if they are a non-EEA national.
That's perfect, I thought! The most important part, with this online form you can use European Passport Return Service (where a local city hall authenticates your passport and sends a copy to Home Office, you meanwhile get to keep it with yourself and can travel abroad etc).
But then at the bottom of the page it's written:
By completing this form, you and any dependants will only be considered for EEA (QP) - Registration Certificate (EEA or Swiss National). You will not be considered for any other type of leave to remain. You must use a different form if you want to stay for another reason.
This is what confuses me. Above, they write that this form is available even for non-EEA nationals (if you apply together with your EEA spouse/civil partner) but here it clearly states this is only for Registration Certificate. But aren't Registration Certificates only for EEA nationals? Don't I need a Residence Card as a non-EEA national?
The link is here btw: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/eea-qp
Can anyone clarify this for me please?
Thank you
