chhild born outside uk first passport

My daughter was born in India on 22nd September 2016. her father is born British and I am Indian. she is entitled to a British passport by descent .

Her father is here to c her and we want to submit her British passport application b4 he leaves. we saw a lawyer and he has confused us even more as he want to charge us 1000 pounds for the application

we have filled her form and about to take the appointment. I need your help in two things

1. will we face any issue as the lawyer has scared us that we will get stuck and their will b DNA test ...n blah blah. which we don't have an issue with as he is the biological farther of the child.

2. my husband has signed in section and an Indian lawyer known to him has signed in counter signatory section. will that be ok? or do v need to get it signed from someone else.

3. who needs to fill in the information for parental details form.

4. can v put in details of UK card for making the payment?
