Tier 1 visa extention 50k

Post by cece84 » Tue Dec 19, 2017 10:38 am

hi everyone, i stumbled upon this great forum last night and i must say its got a lot of information.
please could you look into my case below:
applied for visa extension with 4 dependents 1/11/17
biometric done 1/12/17
complex letter received dated 7/12/17

I lost my mum just over 3 weeks ago and her funeral date has been scheduled for the 1st week of February 2018,Although i know every individual application is a different case, i am getting really stressed out about the wait after reading about other peoples cases that have taken months, is there any way that i can expedite this application as i need to be in Nigeria for my mums burial in early next year.
I cant seem to track the status of the application as the link i found on this forum says 'page not found'
I would be grateful for any ideas . thanks in advance

Sorry to hear about your loss - my sincere condolences.
Unfortunately, there is nothing that will ensure your application will be expedited. But it is worth writing into HO setting out your circumstance including any documentation you may have to back it up and request for an expedited processing. You can also contact your MP and ask them to do the same.
No guarantees that it will help but you have nothing to lose in trying.
Good luck.

thanks for your reply @ marcnath, i am going to write to write to them and my local MP as its sure what a try.
Do i also need to continue employing the 2 people required as settled workers?, one of them has reduced his hours from 30 to 15 since December, but has worked 30 hours for 13 months before now.
just wondering if i will need to prove continuous employment if called for an interview at a later stage.

No, there is no requirement to keep the people employed. It depends on what your business needs are.
Obviously, be prepared to answer why the business does not need the people if asked in an interview.
