Marriage licence / recency requirements

Post by emmett » Wed Dec 20, 2017 10:25 am

Hi,

I have a few questions before sending off my application for visa

1) I've read that the recency requirements for payslips, bank statements, etc. are 28 days from the date of the visa application. For the purposes of calculating 28 days - is this the day I pay for my application online, the day I complete my biometrics or the day my documents arrive in Sheffield?

2) Does this recency requirement apply to the letter from my landlord allowing my spouse to live with me? As far as I can see, in the Appendix FM-SE, it only refers to proof of employment and bank account statements.

3) When we applied for our marriage licence in the USA, the ages on our licence were the ages my spouse and I were when we applied for the licence. We got married around 5 months later, after my spouses birthday however the age on the marriage licence/certificate is still showing the age at which the licence was issued, not the day we got married. I have spoken to the licencing office who insist this is correct - is this likely to be a problem (as it does ask on the VAF4A what age we were when we got married).

Many thanks!
