Naturalisation after ILR for Tier 2 PBS dependent

Post by vasban » Thu Dec 21, 2017 1:47 pm

Hi Board members,

Can you please assist me with my query:
I came to the UK in Sep 2009 on a Tier 2 ICT visa, acquired ILR in Feb 2015 and British Citizenship in July 2016.
My wife came to the UK as a Tier 2 ICT dependent in November 2012 and received her ILR last week (Dec 2017) after meeting the 5 year continuous residency requirement as PBS dependent.

My question is whether if she is already eligible to apply for naturalisation or does she have to wait for 12 months from the date she was granted the ILR?

TIA

Yes she is, assuming she meets the standard requirements including permitted absence during the qualifying period.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
