Student Dependent query

Hi My Friend's Wife got Student visa and she is in India.

At the time of application she said no any dependent travelling with her, but now her situation changed and now she is willing to travel with her husband and son (2 year old).

Is there any issue if her dependent apply visa and they all 3 travel together and enter in to the UK?

I am not sure it is good idea to come together or main applicant come first and dependent apply at later stage.

Background Information: Me, husband and child (2 years)

I have recently applied to TIER 4 General Student visa (RQF Level 7 Course) and the application for visa is successful. At the time of submitting my application i have selected "No" for "If anyone travelling with you" and "Is child / dependants travelling with you".

My husband currently works in singapore and our initial thoughts were i will apply for the TIER 4 Student general visa, once i get visa and i will go to the university. My husband will continue to work at Singapore for sometime and grand parents will take care of the child in India. My husband and child will join me in the UK at a later stage. Unfortunately the circumstances have been changed recently and it may be difficult for grand parents to look after the child.


My question is:
1. I still haven't travelled to the UK, my date of joining is middle of Jan 2018.
My husband and child wants to join with me now. Can they apply for dependant visa before i travel to the UK? or do they have to apply only after i come to UK, collect the BRP card and send them the BRP card details and apply for dependant visa?
