Regarding adequate maintenance and 3rd party support

Post by John333 » Fri Dec 22, 2017 10:51 pm

Hi I’m British and married to Filipino wife and receive Carer’s allowance and income support and want to bring my wife to Uk and I already know I can apply via adequate maintenance which is after and taxes and housing cost I must have £114 but my Carer’s allowance and income support come to £108 which is short and the house is currently in probate and anytime soon will be in my moms and my name and I don’t pay any rent and there’s empty bedroom and council tax is in my moms name and she pays that.

so what I want to know is will the home office accept I got no housing cost as the council tax is in my moms name and she pays it even though the house will be in both my moms and my name ?

I know I need to have £114 and I’m £6 short but I’ve been gifted £5000 from my mom recently which I know I have to hold for 6 months before I can add it towards the adequate maintenance but there was a new ruling in supreme courtwhich sometimes the home office will allow 3rd party support but what I don’t understand is if that’s only for £18,600 route or is it allowed for people applying by adequate maintenance?

If someone could guide me and maybe recommend what options I got but working is not a option at the moment bcuz I more than likely won’t have enough spare time for work
