Baby born in UK with Indian Passport to tier 2 general parents

Post by s8iva » Sat Dec 23, 2017 9:25 pm

Hi my son was born in UK last year. We took an Indian Passport for him as we had travel plans to India. Thereafter we applied for his tier 2 dependent visa. Me and my missus will be eligible for ILR next year. Will my son be elligible for ILR at the same time or does he have to be in the country for 5 years before getting ILR. More importantly will he be eligible for british citizenship after we gain ILR (considering he was born in the UK) or is that option out of the window as he now holds an Indian Passport.

He will be entitled to register as a British citizen immediately after a parent has ILR.
