Letter from UKVI

Post by yylifeintheuk » Wed Dec 27, 2017 7:49 am

My tier 2 approved for 5 years from 24 Dec 2017 to 14 Jan 2023.

I think this is standard letter, on page 2,

Where the endorsement on your vignette includes the phrase:
- (Standard)
it means that you are currently on a 5 year route to settlement. If you continue to meet the requirements and make the appropriate for further leave to remain, you are likely to be eligible to apply settlement in 5 years.

Where the endorsement on your vignette includes the phrase:
- (Non-Standard 1) - because you satisfy the requirements of paragraph GEN.3.1. of Appendix FM: or
- (Non- Standard 2) - because you satisfy the requirements of paragraph GEN.3.2. of Appendix FM

it means that you are currently on a 10 year route to settlement. If you continue to meet the requirements and make the appropriate application for further leave to remain, you are likely to be eligible to apply for settlement in 10 years. If you are later able to meet the requirements and make an appropriate application, it is open to you to switch to start a 5 year route; however, time spent on the 10 year route will not be counted towards it.

Is it my visa vignette should have the standard since my visa is 5 years visa, I can't see it on the vignette.

The quoted text is applicable to holders under Appendix FM. It's inappropriate for Tier 2 holders as there is no 10-year route for settlement under PBS.

May I know based on the date of my tier 2 visa, does it mean I can apply for ILR if the rule remain unchanged as per today?

What is the earliest date I can apply, 5 years after first day I enter UK or from the first day of visa granted?

Thanks.
