New CoS not recognized

I've just been issued a new CoS yesterday morning. I attempted to complete an online application for a Tier 2 visa and it says CoS not recognized. It's definitely the correct number. I phoned UKVI and they said it can take up to 72 hours for the new CoS to become active and that I shouldn't attempt to complete the application until the number is recognized. I also emailed the online E support team and they said to just proceed with the application if I'm sure the number is correct. So now I don't know what to do. Anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks!

This has been happening with quite few people. Get confirmation from HR , ask them to download as pdf and make sure its active and assigned.

Go ahead with the application and when submitting docs just print out COS and attach it

You are also required to type in the Sponsors Licence Number at one stage of that application. Please do not get confused between the COS number and the Sponsors Licences Number.
