Tier 2 Dependent visa

Post by rkshirisha » Fri Dec 29, 2017 5:35 pm

Hi,

I applied for a Tier2 General Visa on 13/11/2017 from Mumbai. Along with me I applied for my baby boys’ visa as Tier 2 Dependent. I was granted a 5 year visa valid till 18/12/2022 but my son’ visa is valid only till 30/04/2018. I’m perplexed as why this has happened? Can you please help me?

Some extra information: At the time of application I was on Tier 2 ICT Dependent visa valid till 30/04/2018. I’m not sure if someone used my old Visa validity by mistake. Also my husband is still on his Tier 2 ICT visa which is valid till 30/04/2018. I'm not sure if they have used his validity.
Baby's visa very clearly states that he is the 'my dependent'' and to the best of my knowledge dependents children’s visas are valid till the sponsoring parent’s visa. To be honest this situation has caused me a lot of pain and anguish as a parent and I’m hoping that you will help to resolve the situation. I appreciate your time and patience.
