Extra documents to show for Tier 2 General Visa

Post by rpervez » Mon Jan 01, 2018 4:57 am

Dear Friends,
I was in UK twice. First one with Tier 4 visa in 2010 and the second one with Tier 2 General in 2014-2015.
I worked with two employers with Tier 2 visa. My last tier 2 validity was for 3 years (Expiry date oct 2017) but I (along with my wife) left UK early in August, 2015. Homeoffice sent me email of curtailment (December 2015). Later on another email was sent by capita resourcing on behalf of HO asking whether we left UK after the curtailment of our visa. We sent evidence of departure and they accepted and confirmed our exit.

I am planning to go back to UK again and work for my last employer along with my son (born in 2016) and wife. Got CoS and ready to apply. Now, I have got some questions regarding documents to submit.

1. Do I at all need to explain all those things because these must be in application form.

2. If it is required to show all those documents, in that case, apart from standard Tier 2 requirements do I need to show the photocopy of my last BRP (the one showing expiry date: Oct 2017) , the curtailment letter and home office confirmation (email conversations) of our exit?
3. Do I need to give a brief account of my immigration history in the form of cover letter or in the additional information section of the application form?
Please let me know. I am a bit confused.
Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what you mean by all those things? Tier 2 is quite straight forward even applying outside the UK.
If it is required to show all those documents, in that case, apart from standard Tier 2 requirements do I need to show the photocopy of my last BRP (the one showing expiry date: Oct 2017) , the curtailment letter and home office confirmation (email conversations) of our exit?
They have all the reocrds. Make sure you provide the passport where you had the entry stamp of your home country to make sure you have served your cool-off period.

There is no need to provide old BRP ! this is going to ne new Tier2

Do I need to give a brief account of my immigration history in the form of cover letter or in the additional information section of the application form?
Not required unless asked in the form

Thanks a lot makky86.
I have another doubt regarding our maintenance requirement.
1. My CoS clearly mentions that employer will sponsor me and my dependants. Even though I will show my bank statement. Is it OK to do so?

2. As I will apply along with my wife and son, do I need to show any financial sponsorship letter for my wife and son? Isn't single bank statement enough for all three?

Thanks a lot.

No need of bank statements if COS mentions that sponsor will support financially for the first month.
2. As I will apply along with my wife and son, do I need to show any financial sponsorship letter for my wife and son? Isn't single bank statement enough for all three?
Again its not required if COS mention that spnosor will suppor you financially first month.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have started my online application in visa4uk and I am confused in one section. I have asked this question elsewhere but have not got any answer yet. In a bit hurry. Hope you would not mind if I share my concerns.
In the online form there is a section titled "Please Enter Details of up to your 5 most recent visits". My concerns are:

1. I went to UK with Tier 2 general visa in 2014. In 2015 I traveled to my home country for 12 days for a family visit .
2. Now in that section of application should I have to include all entry and exit date of my passport or just the duration of stay under one single visa category?

Please let me know asap. Thanks.

As clearly question asks your recent visits to the UK i.e. indivisiaul visits to the UK (regardless of visa you held)
