EU spouse confimed job Dec 2012...start date 21st Jan 2013.when is best to submit application? Now or wait till 21st Jan? Does time during job seeking/awaiting start date count towards PR? Apologies if it's been asked before. ..many thanks Happy new year

If you wait until Jan 21, this it will be a clear-cut case. It's only a matter of a few weeks, so I personally would do it to avoid adding complexity to the application.

Time spent as a jobseeker can count, but requires more documentation to prove than being employed, so I'm not sure the gain in a couple of weeks would be worth the effort of collecting additional evidence. Read page 13 of the guidance notes to see what evidence you would need: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... tes-v3.pdf
