Should Apply for French or Spanish Self-Employed Visa?

Post by AdamLeo » Mon Jan 01, 2018 8:55 pm

Hi there,

I would like to apply for a self-employed residence permit to work in either France or Spain as a self-employed person. I don’t mind working in either one of the two countries as I love both equally and would certainly enjoy my stay in one country or the other. I have also researched self-employment systems in both countries (trabajadores autónomos in Spain and micro-entrepreneur in France) and I believe they would certainly suit my situation.

I have prepared everything I could (sufficient financial resources, qualifications, agreements with existing clients, business plan…etc.). My plan is to submit an application to one of the two countries’ local embassies and then approach the other one in case my application is rejected. However, I am worried that a potential rejection of my first application would adversely affect my second one.

Therefore, but I’d like to know beforehand (if possible) which country is more likely to approve my application so that I can focus on that one and avoid an unnecessary rejection.

Your input is very much appreciated. Thanks!
