Additional Supporting documents

I've recently made an application for my wife to join me in the UK under a spouse settlement VISA and am waiting for the response, however we neglected to include photos of us together and as such fear that it will be rejected outright on this basis.

As such I'd like to submit these to the Sheffield centre as soon as possible but am wondering if they will even accept additional supporting documentation once the initial files have already been sent and the application receipt acknowledged?
