Tier 2 ICT cooling off period

Post by shamul » Tue Jan 02, 2018 6:54 pm

Hi,
I am currently in Tier2 ICT from Jan'14. I wanted to switch to Tier 2 General and aware of 1 year cooling off period. During the cooling off period can I apply for Tier 4 Student visa?

I am planning to apply for Tier4 Student visa outside UK, when my cooling off period is already started and would be 3 months complete.

Appreciate your advise.

Yes. You are confusing the requirements for Tier 4 entry clearance with the requirements for Tier 2 entry clearance.

You can expect the ECO to look closely at your credibility as a student. They may suspect that your priority is to be in the UK at all costs.

Thank you for the response that I can apply for Tier4 Student visa (for self) during my cooling off period.
When you mention that ECO would scrutinise for my credibility - would meeting the requirements for the University and valid CAS would suffice the needs? (along with financial support details) - Can you advise would it require any beyond?

Strongly advise you get advice on your application from your Tier 4 sponsor. They are as invested in a positive outcome as you are.
