Changing from Tier 2 to Tier 4

Post by pat92 » Wed Jan 03, 2018 8:08 pm

Hi there,

I came to UK in October 2010 under Tier 4 Student(General) to do my undergraduate degree. I completed my degree in December 2013.
Further I applied with one of the college to do my ACCA qualification (NQF Level 7) and got visa from December 2013 to April 2016.But unfortunately, I was unable to complete the course at that point.
Further, In April 2015, one of the company sponsored for Tier 2(General) and visa expires on May 2018. I would like to further study and do MBA from March and do PHD after. Could I study under the current rules? I am in UK since 7 years and 2 months now. Please advise. I am happy to give more information for clarity if required.

Thank you

You need to count how long you have already spent in the UK with a student visa for degree level studies, and whether this allows you any further time under the 5-year cap to fit in an MBA.

From the dates you have given, it seems clear you have almost reached the 5 years already.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
