Additional Documents Asked, Post Interview for 2nd T-1(E) Extension

Post by OhmV » Thu Jan 04, 2018 12:45 pm

Dear members,
I just had an interview recently for my 2nd T1 entrepreneur extension, and it lasted for about 90 mins, a lot of questions were asked about the business and investment. My parents have sold some property back in 2011 in my home country to support my initial application for T1 Entrepreneur and after grant of visa we transferred the amount here in UK to invest in the business and rest of money was provided by my sister here in the UK who is settled here for a long time. Now at the end of the interview I was asked to send some sort of evidence about the sale of property to UKVI and that it was held in the name of my parents, in next 30 days. Could someone please advise

1. As I have already awarded the points for investment in my previous extension, do I still need to provide above evidence.

2. In case am unable to provide any copy of sale deed, as it's very difficult to get hold of it after over 7 years, is it OK if I provide bank letter which I presented for my initial application back in 2012, showing all the funds in my name.

3. Shall I wait for UKVI for a formal communication i.e a written letter about this document/what exactly they want or send them whatever documents I can get hold of with my case reference. Reason am asking is that when I asked interviewer any specific address for sending this document , he just asked me to send it to the same address where I sent my extension application.
Many thanks
Ohm

While you did not have to provide any evidence for investment as part of your application, HO is entitled to ask for additional evidence at any point. So, yes, you need to send it in.

Does that mean you showed funds in your name for 90 days for your initial application ?
If so, why were those funds not invested ? What was the need for property sale or your sister's funds ?

Depends on how you left it. I am not sure they necessarily will send a formal document request if they have recorded it as a verbal request and your agreement to send it. Rather than waiting, you can send a letter asking them for specifics of the documentation needed, if you prefer to do that
