Premium service and over staying tier 4

Hi all,

I am currently on a tier 4 visa. Fortunately, I have a job that is willing to sponsor me for a tier 2 visa. Unfortunately, due to a couple of rejected visa applications (first was a tier 5 rejected on financial grounds as partner doesn't earn enough, second was a 5 year tier 2 rejected on the grounds that pay was insufficient for 5 year but sufficient for 3 year), I have only less than 3 weeks until my visa expires.

My work has received the sponsorship letter, and I will begin the application as soon as possible. I would like to apply for premium service, however I am worried I will not be able to find a slot before my current visa expires. My main question is if I have begun the application process before it expires, but the appointment is after it expires, will it cause any problems?
