British Citizenship application delay

Post by Aiden252 » Sun Jan 07, 2018 8:55 pm

Hi everyone,
I applied British Citizenship in July 2017 with following dates,

Eligibility criteria: Residence Permit as Family member of an EEA national 5 years + 1 year PR card
Language criteria met: Trinity+Life In The UK
Nationality: Pakistani
Method of application: NCS
Date of application: 24/07/2017
Payment method: Debit Card
Biometrics has done: 05/08/2017
Date of approval: Waiting

Now after 5 months of my application, I received a letter dated 28/12/2107 that they can't make decision of my application within 6 months. The decision is delayed. We expect to make a decision on your application as soon as possible but we will write you again if this is not going to be possible.
Is there anyone going through same situation? I will really appreciate if anyone can advise that how much extra time they can take to approve my application.

Many thanks,
Aiden

Have you read through the forum some people go past six months, even years there is no time limit, they take as long as needed to be satisfied you meet the requirements, it takes time to get the information they need, sadly in your case.
