URGENT:Maintanence Question for PBS Tier 2 dependant partner

hi all,

I have an urgent query about pbs dependent extension for my wife. I hold an ILR.This question is mainly regarding the 90 days maintenance period.
we maintained £900 from 04/10/2017 till 4/01/2018... However we made the online application/appointment on 23/12/17 for 13th Jan 2018.

Does the 90 days count till the date of the application(23/12/2017) or the premium appointment(13/01/2018)? we counted 90 days till the date of the appointment.
