Switching EEA sponsor

Post by 920321 » Mon Jan 08, 2018 10:11 pm

Good evening;

I would appreciate some advise about the following situation:
I (NON-EEA national) have been living in the UK as the married partner of an EEA national for 4 years now (working both).
Recently we got divorced as we've been separated for 2 yrs and a half, and it is impossible for him to provide his ID for me to apply for my Retained Right OR because of constant travelling abroad.
On the other hand I have been in a durable relationship for over 2 years now with another EEA national (working in the UK) .

My question: is it possible for me to apply for EFM in order to stay in the UK or it is mandatory to apply for Retained Right of Residence first?
I know it is possible to switch from EFM to another EFM sponsor but Im not sure in this case how does it works.
If so, do I need to provide with my application other document from my previous situation apart of the divorce paper?

Many thanks in advance.
