Can one switch from Tier 2 PBS dependant visa to Tier 2 General from UK ?

Hello

I am on a Tier 2 General Visa. My wife is my dependant. I saw her passport and it says something like PBS Dependant.

Her employer is willing to sponsor a Tier 2 General Visa. Can this switch happen while she continues to stay in UK ?

No. Once she gets assigned a Restricted CoS, she will have to go back and apply for her home country. Few things to be aware of:

1. RLMT is required to be done by her employer (unless its a shortage occupation).

2. Since she's already working for the employer, element of pre-selection during RLMT will be considered by home office (you can search this forum for such cases).

3. The ILR cycle will get reset.
