Immigration Statistics - Extension Applications

Hi All, I came across some immigration statistics related to Tier 1 Extension applicaitons (excluding Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur) and thought of sharing them with all:

The refusal rate is surprisingly very high.

Yeah 45% approx.
45 out of 100 applications are rejected.
(very close to 1 in every 2 applications !)

This is data for extension of stay via Tier 1E route. This data therefore shows the total number of all in country grants/refusals for both Tier 1E initial and extension applications (within the UK)
