ECS check

Hi,
What’s the benefit of ECS? If it’s positive what dose it show?
I notice that two of members applied for it and received their decision shortly.

No benefit for Tier 1E directors as rules allow you to work for your own company. No need for an ECS check
HO systems send automatic letters to some applicants on payroll and then they go and do an ECS check on themselves. This is something that people have done on this forum and then others see it and copy it.
This kind of 'folk wisdom' is now proving costly for some of them, e.g they copy each other, send unnecessary or even conflicting documents, get unnecessary letters, interpret the rules and requirements on their own and ignore the guide/rules
