My wife and I currently both live abroad together.
We are recently married, and after being to the UK on a visit visa for her (I am British), we have decided to move to the UK in the future. Thus we need a spousal visa.
However, I need to prove that I earn over the £18,600 threshold for 6 months in order to apply for one.
I do not want to be apart from my wife for 6 months whilst I do this, so we will apply for another 6 month visitor visa, so she can join me for this time and then go back to her country to apply for the spousal visa.
We have accommodation provided by my family, she will have a sponsor to cover any costs for her. (My father).
She has a house and a small business in her name, in her own country and family living there too.
She will not have a job anymore as she will be moving to the UK for the length of the visitor visa.
Does anyone see a problem applying this way?
I of course want to be up front and honest with the UKVI, but have heard from some people this way of applying may raise suspicions for reason of return.
Surely the reason of property, family and business is sufficient, and more to the point we know the only way to obtain a spousal visa is to go back to her home country!
Any help or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
