Post by Durrani » Mon Jan 15, 2018 10:23 pm

Hi all,

Please could you confirm if I can apply a family permit for my son in law. I’m myself a Dutch National.

Does your child (to whom your son-in-law is married) hold nationality of an EEA member-state?

A son-in-law would be your Extended Family Member if you can prove that he is dependent on you.
I am not a lawyer or immigration advisor. My statements/comments do not constitute legal advice. E&OE. Please do not PM me for advice.

Thanks for the reply.

My daughter is not EEA National, but living in same household with me as a non EEA family member and is dependent on me too.

I have been sending money to my son in law through western union. Would that be enough of evidence to show dependency?

Was your depended son-in-law able to apply for the EEA family permit visa or not?

Member Durrani hasn't visited the forum for over 1 year...since Jan 19, 2018 to be precise
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
