Change of Employment during Spousal Visa Application!!!

Post by Driftwood » Thu Jan 18, 2018 1:13 am

Hi all,

I just arrived back in the UK and have taken a new job. My wife is still in Korea and we are just waiting for her spousal visa application results. Our documents are all in Sheffield.

THE PROBLEM: My new job (all very sudden) is with a different employer to the one that supplied the 'job offer' letter in my wife's spousal visa application.

I'm now panicking that the Home Office will contact the old employer (the one that supplied the offer, and who i will now never work for) and reject the application for deception or something along those lines. I know that the old employer has not yet been contacted.

QUESTION: Will the HO definitely contact the employer? Or is the job offer we supplied in the application enough?

Otherwise, how can I inform HO about my change of situation preemptively? And what should I supply?

I believe my new job still meets the financial requirements.

Thanks in advance!
A concerned husband
