Paysilps dont match transactions!

Post by Brazilmeetsengland » Sat Jan 20, 2018 10:05 am

My girlfriend is applying for spousal visa after we get married in Portugal in march.

My one of my two employers pays me weekly however none of the last 4 months of payslips match the transitions. 3 of the months he has over payed me and 1 month he has under payed me. This has led to him overpaying me by £160 over the 4 months.

I understand from other posts that the transitions have to match the payslips to the 1p. What should I do from here? Ask for updated payslips? or get him to write a letter explaining the discrepancy?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide

They will take the net pay on the payslip as opposed to the gross if the bank account does not reflect the net pay.

It is a big issue. What is your nationality?

The ECO may reasonably reject all the payslips on the basis of inconsistence.

Are you salaried or Non salaried?

if you are salaried then it will be a problem as the Eco takes the lowest wage to calculate your salary.

if you are non salaried it seems like you will be fine as the Eco will calculate an average of your monthly wage to work out an annual equivalent by using the calculation:

(Total gross income from employment held through out the 6 months period, divided by 6) multiplied by 12

Correct me if i am wrong please Obie

Now that you are non salaried your pay being different each month wont matter as long as it adds up to minimum £9300 over the 6 months period.

As you cannot change your transactions anymore i would suggest you ask your employer if it is possible to update and correct your payslips.

if they cannot correct payslip i suggest you speak to a solicitor asking if a letter provided by your employer would be sufficient explaining the discrepancy.

The question here as I understand it, is not that the pay varies, but rather the fact that what is on the payslips is different from what is paid in the account.
That is the problem. Whether a person has variable or fixed income is not an issue.
