Is the SS Route still a viable option

Hi All,

I was just wondering what is your opinions on the ss route at this time? My wife and I are wanting to move to Ireland around May and then applying for an EEA residence card for myself at the end of the year.

Would you suggest this at this time with the deadline of March 2019 looming so close?

Thank you for your reply. The reason we were considering the ss route is that my wife is self employed and we have been advised that this is the most difficult option to prove even though she has a confirmed job offer in the UK and tax returns have all been done.

The immigration agency that we spoke to does not even deal with self employed applications.

So in light of the advice and cost of spouse visa we were considering the ss route.
What is your opinion on the self employed situation if I may ask?
