Continuous Period 180 days GAP exceeded

Post by ankit3772 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 4:10 pm

Hi everyone ,

I would like to know if anyone has experienced similar circumstances as mine and how it affected their application decision. I exceeded the 10 yr CP by 11 days because I lost my university degree in post and I had to get duplicate one from University

Initial Student Visa - Masters Degree - Dec 2008 to Sep 2010
Extention Student Visa - Specialisation - Sep 2010 to Aug 2011

GAP (Left 25/08/2011 9.30 AM - Arrival 03/03/2012 - 10 am )

PSW visa - March 2012 - March 2014
Entrepreneur visa - April 2014 - April 2017
Entrepreneur extension - Ongoing

I left as soon as my exams finished with 3 days to my visa expiry. I was waiting for the results and eventually Degree certificate to apply for PSW while I was outside UK. University sent Degree to my UK address , which friend of mine forwarded to my Indian address. Degree got lost , I had to apply for a copy from the University . The whole process took more than 4 weeks . As a result when I got PSW and I arrived back in the UK , my absence amounted to the total of 191 days (Left 25/08/2011 9.30 AM - Arrival 03/03/2012 - 10 am )

Would I stand a chance of getting 10 yrs CP ILR in these circumstances ?

I would appreciate any opinions on this matter . Thanks

No. Your continuous period of stay is broken as you were outside the UK for more than 180 days. You can only apply for ILR under Tier 1E route
