lost BRP, have Vignette, need to travel urgently

I changed my name and applied for a new passport and BRP.

Since then, I lost my BRP on the train. I've sent an application for a new BRP, but it won't be back for some time.

However I need to travel to Ireland for work urgently.

I still have my old passport with a vignette that has an expiry date of 2019. Will I still be able to travel with this?
