I am a US citizen with no other ties to the UK besides having studied there on a Tier 4 student visa from late 2015 to January 2017.
When I tried re-entering the country in March 2017, I was detained at the UK border in Stansted airport for about 10 hours. I was interrogated/interviewed by an immigration officer who hand-wrote the entire thing as a way of recording it; to my knowledge there was no voice or video recording captured. I had my fingerprints and mugshot taken as well. I was eventually told that I had been granted Leave to Enter as I had originality requested (for up to but not exceeding 6 months).
I am currently working on an EEA family permit to submit by Feb 2018 for an April 2018 re-entry (7+months since I have been in the UK). I am wondering if a detainee report exists for me or will show up on my immigration records, possibly negatively affecting my chances of being granted the Family Permit. Or, since I was eventually granted LTE, if that day will just show up as an previous entry date.
