Post by bluemoon2 » Sun Jan 28, 2018 2:43 am

Hi , just wondering if anyone have any info / experience about my question below ,
How many years residency required for citizenship application for children under 18 years who came to Ireland with their non EAA mother to join their naturalized Irish father ?? do they need 5 years residency for citizenship application or just 3 years residency like their mother for citizenship application ?

If you were to look on the official INIS website you'd have found that the requirements are listed on the application form that you have to download.
If one of the minor's parents has already been naturalised - use Form 9
Form 9 is for a child one of whose parents has already been granted Irish citizenship by naturalisation.
Form 9 must be completed by the child's parent (who is a naturalised Irish citizen) on behalf of the child.
hope that helps.
