Immigration Health Surcharge Reference number

Post by DushyC » Thu Feb 01, 2018 9:44 pm

Hi. I was refused asylum and granted discretionary leave to remain and I have now completed the 6 years and can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. I am trying to fill in the form FLR(DL). First of all, is this the correct form and do I have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge as I do have recourse to public funds? Greatly appreciate some answers and clarity as I’m very confused. Thank you.

Hi,

Firstly could you confirm the date of your firsr grant of DLR and that you do not have the '' no recourse to public funds'' condition on your letter and BRP card?

As you had a previously failed asylum application and where granted DLR, yes FLR (DL) is the right form for an application of ILR.

I would also like to bring to your attention that some members who where also granted DLR after a previously failed asylum application used the form SET(O) and the premium service and have been successful.

This might be an area you may wish to explore as well. It is at this point we'll detailed in what documents to provide if going down this route.

No, you won't pay an immigration health surcharge when making application for ILR. You will however have to pay for the ILR application regardless if you are receiving public funds or not.
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.
